Wayang Kardus – Artbuild Workshop
A lot of us are trying to figure out how to best use whatever power, resources or skills we have to help make a difference. Sign up for a 2-day “Wayang Kardus” (cardboard puppet) workshop to learn from Taring Padi’s practice, how it is located within socio-political contexts and explore roles creatives can take in movement and capacity building for social justice.
The puppets will be part of Commonhood: Turning Towards Each Other, a public intervention and neighbourhood gathering on September 19th in Grønland, curated by Vjolla Emiri in collab with Masahat, Taring Padi and Leieboerforeningen. It invites the public to examine how grassroots publishing documents resistance, while welcoming the public to engage with art and activism merging to defend the right to home.
