Vjolla Emiri

Vjolla Emiri (they/them) (b. 1992) is a trans, queer Kosovar muslim artist, care worker and organiser based in Oslo, Norway. Their work is shaped by Islamic spiritual practice and lineage, moves toward abolition and is grounded in the somatic and embodied methodologies of healing justice. Vjolla is a cultural worker whose aim is to make the oppressive systems around us irrelevant by building community care pathways through facilitation processes, participatory workshops and trainings, creative interventions, street protests and rituals. Vjolla has built and been part of several collaborative activist projects and spaces over the last 10 years and work from a decentralised anarchist position, where collective ownership, process and cooperation are central.
