Sarah Lookofsky er kurator, forfatter og kunsthistoriker som nylig ble kunstnerisk leder for Kunstnernes Hus i Oslo. Hun kom fra stillingen som dekan ved Kunstakademiet ved Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo (KHiO). Før hun kom til Norge i 2020, var hun Associate Director for The Museum of Modern Art’s International Program, der hun jobbet med programmer knyttet til moderne kunst og samtidskunst i et globalt perspektiv. Hun var General Advisor for den 9. Berlin-biennalen organisert av DIS-kollektivet, og var fra 2010 til 2014 leder av kuratorstudier ved Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program.
Sarah Lookofsky is a curator, writer and art historian who recently became artistic director of Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo. She came from the position as dean of the Academy of Fine Arts at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO). Before moving to Norway in 2020, she was associate director of the Museum of Modern Art’s International Programme.e. She was general advisor for the 9th Berlin Biennial organised by the DIS collective, and from 2010 to 2014, she was director of Curatorial Studies at the Whitney Museum of American Art’s Independent Study Programme.
