Mohanad Yaqubi

Mohanad Yaqubi was born in Kuwait in 1981 and is a Palestinian filmmaker, producer and archivist. He co-founded Idioms Film and is a member of Subversive Film, where filmmaking and archival research meet. His films Off Frame AKA Revolution Until Victory and R21 AKA Restoring Solidarity revisit images from Palestinian film history, bringing fragments of political struggle and international solidarity back into view. Rather than treating archives as fixed records, Yaqubi approaches them as living material, images that can shift our understanding of the past and challenge what we think we know.
