Hamed Mohsen Nezhad

Hamed Mohsen Nezhad is a professional Ney player specializing in Persian classical music, with more than 20 years of experience and over 100 performances across Europe and the Middle East.

Rooted in Iranian musical tradition, his work explores dialogue between Persian classical music and other musical cultures. He has collaborated with renowned Iranian musicians including Hamid Motebassem, Ali Ghamsari, Mehdi Emami, and Hadi Azarpira, as well as more than 15 orchestras and ensembles, including Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Rohab Ensemble, Sama Ensemble and Mowje No Orchestra.

His performances include concerts at the International Gümüşlük Music Festival, Baku Jazz Festival, and Norwegian Museum of Cultural History (Norsk Folkemuseum). He has also contributed to academic and educational initiatives, including a Persian Classical Music workshop at the University of Stavanger.

His artistic focus is on bringing the distinctive voice of the Ney and Persian classical music into contemporary and intercultural musical contexts.
