Date: Tuesday 6 April 2027
Time: 15:00–16:00
Place: OCEH Lab, 4th floor, P.A. Munchs hus, University of Oslo
This meeting of the Al-Ard Book Club invites participants to read and discuss The Bleeding of the Stone by the Libyan author Ibrahim al-Koni (1990).
A lone desert dweller seeks to protect one of the last wild moufflons from hunters in the Libyan Sahara. Combining ecological concerns with mythic storytelling, al-Koni offers a profound meditation on humanity’s relationship with the natural world.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Teresa Pepe at teresa.pepe@ikos.uio.no.
